    Lindsay Lohan had a memorably checkered Big Apple upbringing, which included surviving her combative parents Michael and Dina, and saving her sister Dakota’s life after a drowning accident. At age 3, when most kids would be content with TV and nap time, she started modeling and caught on with companies like Calvin Klein and Pizza Hut, as well as a featured role opposite the one and only Bill Cosby in a Jell-O commercial.

    Most industry types would agree that Lindsay Lohan is a very talented actress, and while she got her start in Mouse House fare like The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday and Herbie: Fully Loaded, she has more than held her own opposite reputable actresses like Meryl Streep, Sharon Stone and Jane Fonda in films such as A Prairie Home Companion, Bobby and Georgia Rules. Other than a few duds like Just My Luck and I Know Who Killed Me (where she played twins and won a pair of Razzies for each bad performance), she has often netted kudos like Young Artist Awards, Teen Choice Awards and MTV Movie Awards for her work.
